SOUTHERN TALES
(2014-2024)
In the Valley of the Wind, we all live. Some have had a void that is difficult to fill.
Southern Tales was born as an exercise in class and eventually became an essay about a fictional space that I transcended a long time ago but to which, if I wanted, I could return just to redefine what I experienced.
Impertenence, eviction, loneliness, and other feelings associated with emptiness were what nourished this space of convergence with what 'had to be'. In the middle of a moment in my life where uncertainty served as an antagonist, I lived with the promise of meeting those desires again.
However, I got exactly what I wanted, but it faded, transmuted, and I lifted it in gratitude.
There are no more villains or antagonists, only neutrality and learning.
