RESUME
Jesús Iván López Rodríguez (Veracruz, Mexico, 1988).
I studied for a degree in Communication Sciences and a Higher Technical University Degree in Photography.
I have had group exhibitions within the city of Veracruz and also outside of it, highlighting the Second and Third Contemporary Meeting of South-Southeast Plastic Arts, in the city of Villahermosa, and participating in the XIII Tragameluz Photography Festival in San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
I worked as an editorial photographer and photojournalist for a media company from 2016 to 2022. I have been a judge in photography contests, and a project advisor, and I have carried out other activities around photography, communication, and the arts.
I have been involved in photography for artistic, cultural, documentary, and journalistic purposes. I was selected as a scholarship holder of the FONCA/SACPC Young Creators Program (2022-2023) and carried out a documentary photography project about an environmental issue of bodies of water in the city of Veracruz.
Since 2023, I have ventured into education as a university teacher and I have a collaborative project managing photography, arts, and communication workshops in the city of Veracruz and outside of it.
I am interested in documentary photography and topics related to nature, the environment, urbanization, the photographic record of flora and fauna, space as a belonging, awakening, the mystical and magical, and whatever makes me say thank you.
